Cameron King

FC Halifax

Cameron King joined the Norwich City Academy as a 8 year old and remained with the club until the summer of 2016 - having made his professional debut for Norwich City in the League Cup in September 2014 against Shrewsbury. As an academy player at Norwich, Cameron enjoyed FA Youth Cup success and played regularly for Norwich City U21's from the age of 17 onwards.

In November 2014, Cameron made his debut for Scotland U21's, scoring a late equaliser against Switzerland. With that international recognition and his first-team debut, a promising career at Norwich was thwarted by an injury ravaged 2015/2016 season and after recovering and leaving the Canaries, Cameron chose to spend time playing non-league football at his local club Thetford Town FC.

Cameron scored on his Thetford league debut on 12th August and throughout the 16/17 season he appeared 39 times, scoring 17 goals and assisting countless more. In the summer of 2017/2018 Cameron signed for Irish Premier League club Shamrock Rovers - and played 8 times for them before the Irish season ends in the Autumn. Returning to East Anglia, Cameron signed for promotion chasing King's Lynn - managed by former Norwich City assistant manager Ian Culverhouse - and Cameron quickly became a stand-out player for King's Lynn. Cameron's goals and assists helped King's Lynn reach the play-offs and Cameron scored a stunning volley in the semi-final victory against Weymouth.

On 25 June 2018, Cameron put pen to paper on a two year contract at National League club FC Halifax. During the 2018/19 season, Cameron appeared 28 times in the League (and 31 in all competitions) scoring twice, and he started the 2019/2020 season in fine form - playing in his preferred no.10 position under new manager Pete Wild.
