Full Contact client Liam Driscoll has signed a new contract at Reading Football Club, extending his stay with the Royals to the summer of 2020.
Liam, 18, signed his first professional contract at the Championship club last summer and following an impressive season (both out on loan in non-league football, at Staines Town and for Reading Under 23’s) he has signed an improved, long-term contract.
Full Contact’s senior partner Dan Chapman commented “It was pleasing for us to be able to get this new contract signed nice and early for Liam. He is a long way from home – he left his family behind in Australia aged 16, and to now have the security of this long-term contract is just rewards for him. In pre-season Jaap Stam called him up to be with the first team on tour, and he has also trained with England this year – and I know his loan spell in non-league was something he hugely enjoyed . Reading have a great young keeper on their hands and it is a good move for both parties to get this contract in place now. Liam can spend some time back home in the summer and then really focus on moving to the next level in the 2018/2019 season.”
All at Full Contact wish Liam the very best as he embarks upon the next stage of his professional career.
