Full Contact client and Crystal Palace striker Freddie Ladapo has signed for League One club Oldham Athletic on loan.
The loan – which runs until January – is the next step in a remarkable journey for Freddie since he transferred from National League South club Margate in March to join the Premier League’s Crystal Palace.
After earning a place in Palace’s first-team squad for their pre-season tour to the US and scoring his first senior Palace goal in a friendly at AFC Wimbledon, Freddie impressed Alan Pardew to the extent that he was rewarded with a place on the bench for the first two Premier League games of the season. Following Christian Benteke’s arrival at Selhurst Park, Pardew has now moved to send Freddie out on loan to League One to gain vital experience of senior football at a high level – save for six substitute appearances in the Football League when a youngster at Colchester, Freddie’s senior experience remains at non-league level.
We wish Freddie and Oldham all the best throughout this loan period.
