FC Utd versus Chesterfield was the last 1st round game of this year’s FA Cup, with a home tie against Walsall awaiting the winners – as millions watched on TV largely hoping for another famous giant-killing. Non-league FC Utd, despite all of their endeavour, would lose the game 4-1 to their League One opponents – with Full Contact’s Gboly Ariyibi scoring the opening goal after just seven minutes. Second half substitute Rai Simons added the vital third goal, which put the game out of FC Utd’s reach, in the 68th minute.
