Full Contact client Daniel Boateng has today joined Scottish Premier League side Hibernian on loan.
Arsenal’s 21 year old defender joins Terry Butcher’s side for the remainder of the season as the Edinburgh club look to improve their league position from their current 7th place.
Daniel, who can play in central defence, at full back or in midfield, will be looking to gain valuable first team experience after a career which (save for two short loans in to the Football League) consists of Academy and reserve football for the Gunners.
Commenting on the move, Full Contact’s Head of the Football Agency team Lee Payne said “Daniel did very well for Arsenal U21’s earlier in the week against Chelsea, and we had quite a bit of interest in him this week as the window neared to an end. The prospect of working with a manager who himself was a legendary centre-back was very appealing to Daniel, as was the chance to play first team football in front of passionate and good crowds, so this loan opportunity seemed to be an ideal fit for him. We hope it will work out really well for both Hibernian and Daniel, who as a client is an absolute pleasure to represent.”
Hibernian’s next fixture pits them against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup, before their Premier League campaign continues on the 15th February at home to Ross County. We wish Daniel and Hibernian all the best.
