Full Contact client Grant Holt has completed a transfer from Norwich City to Wigan Athletic, for an undisclosed sum.
Grant, pictured here with Full Contact’s Lee Payne, has signed a three year contract with the Latics.
Grant joined Norwich City when they had been relegated to League 1, and his prodigious goalscoring record and leadership played a key role in the Canaries’ return to prominence. Now settled as a Premier League side, Grant was delighted to put to pen paper as Owen Coyle targeted Grant as his key signing to lead Wigan’s promotion charge.
Lee Payne commented “This is a great move for Grant, and we are delighted it has concluded. None of us close to Grant, let alone Norwich City fans, will ever forget what he has achieved during his four seasons at Carrow Road, but he now has a new challenge to embrace. I’m certain he will be prove to be as successful for Wigan as he was for Norwich City, and I for one can not wait to see Grant play in Europe!“.
During his tenure at Norwich City, Grant was named player of the season on three successive occasions, and notched 78 goals. A club legend, without a doubt.
All at Full Contact remain very proud to represent Grant Holt, and wish him and Wigan Athletic a successful campaign for the season ahead both domestically and in the Europa League.
