Full Contact client, 18 year old striker Deqwon Ebanks, has today signed his first professional contract for ambitious Conference Premier side Tamworth FC.
A prolific goalscorer throughout all of his Academy career at Birmingham City, Deqwon, despite interest from Football League clubs, has chosen to sign full-time professional terms for Tamworth FC. Deqwon is pictured here with Tamworth’s manager Dale Belford.
Lee Payne, head of Full Contact’s Football Agency team, explained “Deqwon is a young striker who has all the physical attributes and ability required to make an immediate impression at first team level. We were of the view that Deqwon is a player who will benefit more, and improve more quickly, by playing first team football in a competitive environment. The Conference Premier is an extremely high standard, and we think will provide a better launchpad for his career than spending another year or two playing Under 21 development football. The fact that Deqwon’s team-mates at Tamworth will include experienced professionals such as Darren Byfield was a major factor in this decision. We are really looking forward to seeing the extent of the impact Deqwon can make next season at Tamworth.”
Deqwon himself commented “I am really excited to sign my first professional contract and the decision to sign for Tamworth, where I believe I can make a real impact and start off my first team career, was an easy one for me. Thanks to my agents at Full Contact for all of their hard work to make this happen.”
We wish Deqwon and Tamworth FC all the very best for the 2013/2014 season.
