Seny Dieng

MSV Duisburg

Seny Timothy Dieng was born in Zurich but is of Senegalese descent.

He began his career at FC Red Star Zurich and on 21st September 2010 - aged only 15 - Seny made his professional debut entering the field as a substitute in a Swiss second division league fixture against FC Seefeld. Seny's prodigious talent prompted Zurich neighbours and Swiss giants Grasshoppers to sign him in 2011.

On the 11th November 2012 - whilst still only 17 - Seny made his first professional start (whilst out on loan from Grasshoppers to FC Grenchen) in the Swiss Cup against FC Wohlen. He also appeared for Grenchen three times in the Swiss second division.

Back at Grasshoppers, Seny - whilst still a teenager - would go on to be named as their substitute keeper in the top flight Swiss Super League on 18 occasions. On the 5th August 2014, Seny was the substitute keeper as Grasshoppers played Lille in the Champions League.

Alongside his first team duties, Seny also played regularly for Grasshoppers' B team, who compete in the Swiss lower leagues - starting well over 45 domestic league fixtures.

On the Swiss/German transfer deadline day on 1st February 2016, Seny was the subject of a transfer for an undisclosed fee to German club MSV Duisburg. Appearing on the bench in the Bundesliga 2 on three occasions, Seny then activated a relegation release clause in the summer of 2016 in order to pursue a career in the UK - becoming the latest foreign keeper to sign with Full Contact. It did not take long for Seny to catch the eye in England, putting pen to paper on a long-term deal at Championship club Queens Park Rangers.

Throughout the 2016/2017 season Seny has impressed for QPR Under-23's, and will look to now gain first-team experience on these shores.
