Kevin Lokko

Maidstone United

Romford born Kevin joined the Norwich City Academy at aged 15, and in March 2012 signed scholarship terms due to commence that summer.

During Kevin's scholarship at Norwich City he worked his way up to be the Under 18 captain, showing great leadership skills whilst played at left sided centre back. 6ft 3, with a strong left foot, Kevin also scored a good number of goals for Norwich City with his aerial ability providing a regular threat from set pieces.

On 5th August 2014, Kevin turned professional when he signed an one year contract with East Anglian neighbours Colchester United. After impressing in the U's under 21 side, Kevin was called up to the first team squad for the first time on 25th October, and was an unused substitute away to Swindon Town.

A serious injury curtailed the second half of Kevin's season for Colchester and also prevented the award of a new contract, so on the 20th July 2015 he signed for National League club Welling United. On the 8th August 2015, Kevin made his Welling debut but also his competitive debut, playing well as his new club secured a clean-sheet and 1-0 win the season's opening fixture against Guiseley. Kevin impressed as he became a regular for the Wings, playing in the first 14 consecutive games of the season. An injury on Boxing Day kept Kevin out for two months but as soon as fit he returned to the starting line up, amassing 38 League appearances by the end of the season. On the 28th March against Woking, Kevin scored his first League and indeed senior goal.

With Welling United sadly relegated, Maidstone United wasted no time in acquiring Kevin's services for their National League campaign in 2016/17. Lokko started the season strongly, wasting no time in establishing himself as a cornerstone of Maidstone's defence.
