Jesse Curran





Jesse Curran, who is of Scottish descent, was born and raised in Tasmania and played his youth football at the Tasmanian club Devenport City. Aged sixteen, Jesse moved to Sydney where he joined Blacktown City.

After impressing at Blacktown, Jesse was signed by the Central Coast Mariners in 2013 to play in the National Youth League. After shining as a youth player for the Mariners he was an unused substitute for the senior side on one occasion, an A-League match against Adelaide United in October 2013. He received the club's National Youth League Player of the Year award in 2014.

A technically gifted midfield player with a sweet left foot, Jesse trialled with Scottish Premiership club Dundee in the summer of 2015 and signed a two-year deal with the club shortly thereafter. He made his senior debut for the club on 4 October 2015, coming on as a first-half substitute for captain Kevin Thomson in a win over Motherwell. In November 2015, Jesse joined Montrose on a one-month emergency loan deal, playing three matches before returning to Dundee. In late February 2017, Jesse joined Scottish League One side East Fife on an emergency loan deal and he quickly established himself as a key player as East Fife chased a play-off position.
