Conor Ellis is a product of the Cork City academy and, save for a senior loan at Cobh Ramblers in 2016, has spent his entire career to date with Cork. At under 19 level for Cork City he was a prolific goalscorer.

Conor made his professional and Irish Premier League debut for Cork in 2015 before spending part of the 2016 season on loan - impressing whilst at Cobh where he scored 6 goals from 13 starts.

A strong, bustling striker, Conor was promoted for the 2017 season to Cork's first-team squad on a regular basis - and by late May he had appeared 11 times as a substitute in the Irish Premier League (no mean feat in a side which was marching away with the League lead). His first goal of the season (and first senior and League goal for Cork) came on 3rd March 2017 against Galway and his second against Drogheda. He also scored in Cork's quarter-final Cup win on May 1st against St Patrick's.

Conor has been capped by Ireland at under 15, 17, 18 and 19 level to date and in 2015 he was named as the under 18 Schoolboys international player of the year.
