Having graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Law, Will was called to the Bar in 1987. After several years working for London Entertainment Law specialists, Olswangs, he chose to leave law to pursue a career in the media.

His experience in entertainment and sports media includes a column in GQ, hosting a primetime sports quiz-show on Channel 4, appearing in a sketch show with Armstrong and Miller, and defending Roger Seelig in the second Guinness trial.
As the chief sports feature writer for the Observer, Will interviewed sports stars ranging from Bjorn Borg to Roger Federer, Jack Nicklaus to Seve Ballesteros, Gary Sobers to Kevin Pietersen and George Best to Gabriel Bastituta.

Will has also written a number of books, including ‘The Man Who Hated Football’ (4th Estate) and appears as a regular panelist on the Radio 5 show, Fighting Talk. He continues to host the weekly ESPN football programme, Off the Ball.
Throughout his time in entertainment and sports media, Will built up an unrivalled range of contacts in the sporting world.
Will Buckley – Barrister and Chairman of Full Contact Law
In December 2010, Will returned to the law as a practising barrister and, in addition to working as a mediator (see Sports Mediation) he was a founder member of the Full Contact sports law stable. Will’s expertise and contacts within the media and print business particularly enables him to assist Full Contact clients with PR and reputational matters. In late March 2012, Will was appointed as Full Contact’s Chairman.
