Full Contact are delighted to announce that young British rally sensation Chris Ingram has become our latest motorsport client.
Chris is only 21 years old and is one of Britain’s top young racing drivers; he is ranked by Autosport as number 1 in England, number 1 at under 21 level, and number 3 in Britain overall (with the two drivers ahead of him aged 36 and 26). Chris was British Junior Rally champion in 2011 and then became the youngest driver to score points in the British Rally Championship, aged just 17 in 2012. He won the MSA Young Driver of the Year award in 2012 and in doing so became the first ever rally driver to win this award. In 2013 and 2014 Chris competed in the WRC Wales Rally and won his R2 class on both occasions.
In 2015, Chris has been racing in the European Rally Championship (ERC) as a Junior, driving for Peugeot as a works driver. Chris secured his first ERC Rally Junior win in the spectacular backdrop of the Azores and he won the prestigious Colin McRae Flat Out trophy at that venue and also the Circuit of Ireland Rally too – the youngest ever driver to win the award.
Chris, pictured below with co-driver Gabin Moreau, began rally driving at 15 and he won his first forest rally at 17 only a few weeks after gaining his driving licence!
Dan Chapman, senior partner of Full Contact, said “We are thrilled about Chris joining our motorsport roster. He is extremely talented, dedicated and utterly professional in his approach to his sport both in and outside of the car and has already shown his ability at a very high level, competing around Europe on different surfaces with alarming success for one so young. Chris’ goal is to become the youngest ever World Rally Champion, a record held by Colin McRae who was 27 when he achieved that feat and we look forward to working with Chris on this incredible journey.”
Barry Mears added “Rallying is one of the most watched and spectacular motorsport events and it is becoming ever more popular ; the WRC is now considered to be second only to Formula 1 in its commercial appeal. The sport is entering an exciting era and for us to be supporting Chris – the stand out young talent in England – as he aims to make it to WRC level is tremendously exciting.”
