Full Contact client Rai Simons has completed his goal-scoring set at the age of 19; he has scored at international level for his country, scored at senior non-league level, but he has now also scored at professional and Football League level.
On the 10th October, making his second start in the Football League for Chesterfield, Rai struck in the 35th minute at home to Gillingham. Rai’s goal made the score 1-1, and although sadly for Rai and Chesterfield they would go on to lose the game 3-1, the occasion of his first professional goal will live long in the memory.
It was a proud moment for all at Full Contact, who represent a number of Bermudan players and have also had strong links with Rai’s former club Ilkeston, and the rapid progress that Rai is making after only turning professional this summer only bodes well and stands as an inspiration for the other players we represent and may wish to represent that are following similar paths – whether that be from the sunny shores of Bermuda or the slightly less sunny shores of English non-league football!
