Full Contact client Mani Dieseruvwe has tonight signed for League One club Chesterfield, transferring from Sheffield Wednesday.
Mani, 19, has been on loan at Chesterfield since the beginning of January and has made two substitute appearances so far. FA Cup matches (for which Mani was not eligible) had restricted his opportunities to an extent, but Paul Cook had seen enough in training and in those brief appearances to prompt the Spireites to turn the loan in to a permanent transfer.
Putting pen on a contract which runs until the end of the 2015/2016 season, Mani leaves Sheffield Wednesday after spending all of his Academy years at the Owls and his first two seasons as a professional.
Full Contact’s Head of Football Agency team Lee Payne commented “We are pleased that Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield were able to reach an agreement that has allowed this transfer to go through today. Mani has really enjoyed his loan spell, and the opportunity to train and be involved with the first team squad is one he has really relished. He has huge potential and now he has got the platform to develop, and has to convert the real promise he has shown this season in Under 21 football into first team League football.”
We wish Mani and Chesterfield all the best for the remainder of the season.
