Full Contact client Gozie Ugwu has signed for League One club Yeovil Town, subject to international clearance.
Gozie, who recently completed a short-term contract at Dunfermline – scoring 7 goals in 9 League starts – has signed with the Glovers until the end of the season. He is no stranger to Yeovil Town, or manager Gary Johnson, as he enjoyed a loan spell with the club in 2012/13 whilst a Reading academy player. During that period Gozie 15 League appearances in total, including 4 starts and 3 goals.
Lee Payne, head of Full Contact’s Football Agency team, said “Gozie has had a great footballing education at the excellent Reading system, he has had loans in the Conference Premier, League Two and League One and this season has scored goals in Scotland. For a young striker he has experienced a lot of different levels and styles and he is still learning but he is now chomping at the bit to come and prove himself in the Football League. Going back to Yeovil, a club at which he had a good loan spell and under a manager who knows him well, made a lot of sense to us and it is now time for Gozie to really start to establish himself.”
We wish Gozie and Yeovil Town all the best for the remainder of the season as they strive to retain their League One status.
