Full Contact client Alex Fisher has today completed a return to English football, after a five year absence, by signing for League Two club Mansfield Town (subject to international clearance).
Alex, who turns 24 at the end of the month, has left his Italian club Monza in order to sign an one year contract with the Stags.
Alex stated “I have wanted to return to English football for a while now, and once this opportunity presented itself it did not take me very long at all to jump at it. I can’t wait to get started, and I am confident that I can quickly re-adjust to what will be required of me.”
Dan Chapman, senior partner of Full Contact, said “Once we met Alex out in Italy, and became aware of his desire to secure a move back to England, we worked hard to secure some options. Quite a few clubs wanted to look at him on trial, but that was complicated by the fact he had another year on his contract with Monza, so to secure this move with Mansfield is very pleasing. Whilst Alex has been out of the UK for some time now, he had a good reputation here as a teenager and was another player, like Mickey Demetriou, who learnt a lot from the Glenn Hoddle Academy.”
We wish Alex and Mansfield Town all the best for next season.
