Full Contact client Kieran Agard scored the winning goal last night as Rotherham United booked their place in the League One play-off final at Wembley.
Having drawn the first leg away at Preston 1-1, the stage was set for an enthralling encounter last night at the New York Stadium. Things did not start well for Rotherham, as Preston grabbed an early lead. The spirited Millers, however, reacted quickly and by half-time had put themselves in to a 2-1 lead. The comfort that was needed was a third goal, which duly arrived in the 67th minute when Kieran expertly finished a Tavernier cross – for his 26th goal of the season in all competitions.
Kieran, pictured here celebrating his goal, will hope that he and his team-mates – which hopefully will include fellow Full Contact client Richard Brindley if he can return from his current injury in time – can now advance to the Championship. Standing in their way, at Wembley on May 25th, is Leyton Orient.
All at Full Contact wish Rotherham United, Kieran and Richard all the best for Wembley!
