Full Contact have today agreed to represent young Crewe Alexandra player Chris Speed.
(pictured here on the left)
Chris has been at Crewe from the age of 8, and now aged 17 is coming to the end of the first year of his scholarship. He has been a prolific goalscorer at all age levels, and last season netted 25 goals for the U17 and U18 sides. This season Chris has played mostly as a right winger, and in addition to continuing to score goals (including a recent hat-trick against Ipswich Town) he has provided many assists.
With fantastic pace and good movement, allied to composure in front of goal, Chris is yet another talented youngster produced by the superb Crewe Alexandra academy – the starting point for so many players who have gone on to achieve great things in the game.
Lee Payne, head of Full Contact’s Football Agency team, said “Chris is a player that Jon Herrador scouted for us, and having done our research and met the boy we are pleased that he has chosen to join the Full Contact stable. Crewe Alexandra is a fabulous club for breeding talented youngsters and then giving them first team opportunities, and over the next year Chris needs to work hard to try and be one of the next young stars that they have produced. He is in the right place, and he has the natural ability, so we are expecting good things from him.”
