The Award aims each year to identify Britain’s most promising driver, and 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button is just one of the illustrious former winners of this highly acclaimed prize. The winner receives £100,000 and a F1 test with McLaren.
After carefully considering the merits of over 16 possible candidates, the Awards panel have today confirmed the six finalists to be Seb Morris, Jack Aitken, Jake Hughes, Chris Middlehurst, Matt Parry and Charlie Robertson. The finalists will be tested on track in a variety of cars, to include F2, DTM and GT vehicles, will undergo fitness and simulator tests and be interviewed by the Awards panel.
As well as Button, previous winners include Paul Di Resta, David Coulthard and Dario Franchitti. The 2013 winner will be announced at the annual McLaren Autosport Awards dinner on the 1st December.
All at Full Contact congratulate Seb Morris on this fabulous achievement, and wish him all the best in the forthcoming tests.
