André Francisco Moritz was born in Florianopolis, Brazil, in 1986 and after a flourishing youth career he was signed at age 16 by Internacional, one of Brazil’s largest clubs. After breaking through in to the Internacional first team, André moved to another club giant of the Brazilian game, Fluminense. In 2006/2007, as a 20 year old attacking midfielder, André helped his side avoid relegation in the last game of the season and then go on to win the 2007 Copa do Brasil. There followed an extremely successful five year career in Turkey until in August 2012, André signed for then Championship club in the UK, Crystal Palace.
At Crystal Palace André quickly became a fans favourite, bringing his flair and attacking midfield prowess to the Eagles’ promotion charge. Making a total of 32 appearances, including in the play-off final at Wembley, he scored 5 goals including two wonder free kicks against Wolves on New Years’ Day.
Lee Payne, head of Full Contact’s Football Agency team, commented “André is a quality player, and we are ecstatic to be appointed by him to manage his affairs. Not only is he a superb footballer, cut in the true Brazilian mould, but he is a very intelligent and likeable individual. He is humble, fluent in many languages, and an absolute pleasure to work with.”
