The Association of Football Agents “AFA” have appointed Dan Chapman, Senior Partner of Full Contact, as the Regional Officer for the Eastern and Anglian regions.
The AFA exists to promote the collective interests of its member agents and their clients in the world of UK and international football. Founded in 2005 by Mel Stein and Jon Smith, the Association of Football Agents now represents around 340 professional agents and lawyers with an estimated turnover of approximately £500 million per annum.
Commenting on his appointment Dan said; “I am delighted, on behalf of Full Contact, to accept this role. As both a registered lawyer under the FA Regulations myself, and the senior partner of a firm which houses an FA and FIFA Licensed agent (Lee Payne), but also as an experienced lawyer who has seen the industry from the perspective of clubs, I believe I am well placed to help drive AFA’s ambition to ensure that the profile of the AFA is heavily promoted to the football community including clubs, club officials, agents and players. The profession often suffers from a tarnished reputation, and in some quarters rightly so, and therefore as the AFA strives to uphold integrity and best practice we have an ever growing and crucial role to play.“
