Remi Matthews with Lee Payne
We are delighted to announce that young Norwich City goalkeeper Remi Matthews has today chosen to sign with Full Contact.
18 year old Remi, who is Norfolk born and has been with Norwich City since a young age, already has considerable experience at youth and academy level and will feature in this season’s Under-21 squad.
Lee Payne said;
“Remi is in my view a top young keeper who has great potential. I wanted to work with him as soon as I saw him play, and he could not be in a better place right now than at Norwich City where he is enjoying working under the expert tuition of the England goalkeeping coach Dave Watson. I am very hopeful that over the long term Remi will succeed at the highest level.”
Remi Matthews said;
“When I first met Lee I was impressed with his ability to spot talent in a player, and the fact that he is very selective about who he works with appealed greatly. Lee has a great track record of helping goalkeepers, and given Dave Watson’s arrival at Norwich City as goalkeeping coach I now feel that my long term future is extremely well looked after. It was great to sign with Full Contact today. “
We look forward to following Remi’s progress, and we wish him all the very best.
